Act IV, Scene ii
We were gearing up to do Romeo and Juliet next, and then suddenly this one just sort of insinuated itself.
A former coworker from Hershey had requested Twelfth Night (hi, Chad!), and we'd found out around the same time that our niece Addie had recently studied and enjoyed it, so we put it on the list. While it's not one I know well (read: at all), fortunately Kaede, Shakespeare maven that she is, figured out the perfect scene quite nimbly. When we realized one character is locked away the whole time, the opportunity to bring Addie in was too good to pass up!
Since Addie and her brother Louie live in California, we only get to see them once a year or so. Doing this made it feel a bit like we were all together, which was pretty neat and fun!
Also, it's worth noting that Maggie especially enjoyed her role in this one. When asked about her experience, she had this to say: "It was easier than the other ones. Just talk a little and then... gobble, gobble, gobble!"
I wonder if popcorn was served at The Globe. 🤔
R&J shouldn't be too far behind!
